NUTR 489: Special Topics in Molecular Biotechniques for Nutrition

Research Interest
Dr. Morgan’s research will focus on neural and endocrine signals that underlie disturbances in eating and emotional behavior. He will model these disturbances in the Syrian hamster and study stress resilience of escape, food-seeking, and feeding behaviors in melanocortin-5 receptor (MC5R) knockout mice.  Dr Morgan has been a principal or co-investigator on over $600,000 in research grants and contracts. He has had invited presentations in nationally and internationally. He enjoys teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses.
