Undergraduate Dietetics Program

In order to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Nutritional Sciences students must follow the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) track.  The DPD track is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition & Dietetics (ACEND).  During the last semester in the DPD program, seniors apply for a ACEND-accredited dietetic internships (DI).  These DI programs are highly competitive and can be done in conjunction with a Master’s Degree.  A DI is not required to graduate from Texas A&M University with a Nutritional Sciences degree, but it is required to become a RDN.
