The Food and Nutrition Unit provides in-person and online programs, tools, and resources that are evidence-based, easy to understand, and available to the public wherever they are.
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service provides an extensive catalog of online courses, with new courses being added every month. The Food and Nutrition Unit provides many courses for professionals seeking to fulfill state-mandated requirements, as well as for the general public interested in learning more about a variety of topics. Course enrollment is free of charge.

We also provide the Online Food Handlers Certification course. The course:
- is about 2 hours in length,
- costs $15.00 per person online, – discounted Group Rates are available
- is accredited by Texas Department of State Health Services, and
- allows you to print a Food Handlers card upon successful completion of the course.
