Dr. Bielamowicz’s educational research and program curriculum development has been related to nutritional management of diabetes mellitus and osteoporosis training evaluation. Also, her research was to determine behavioral changes as a result of Extension nutrition education, increased exercise and self-care attributes for persons with diabetes.
Dr. Bielamowicz provided leadership for the development, execution and evaluation of nutrition programs related to special medical conditions for county Extension agents throughout the State.
Research interests related to the cholesterol and fatty acid content of meat muscle/adipose tissues.
Dr. Bielamowicz authored more than 450 Extension nutrition-related publications and numerous support resources for use with all Extension audiences with special food needs related to medical conditions. Most recently several online courses were authored by Dr. Bielamowicz.
