Research Statement: I am interested in various areas of nanotechnology, synthesis and characterization of antimicrobial nanoparticles, controlled release of active ingredients in food systems, effect of surface chemistry and topography on bacterial attachment, prevention of bacterial attachment, and ease of removal of biofilms from surfaces.
