Changing Your Major to Nutrition or Food Science

To change your major to Nutrition or Food Science, you must:

1. Attend a Mandatory Informational Meeting on one of the following days:

Monday, October 16, 2017
5:30 pm in Cater-Mattil 124

or

Tuesday, November 14, 2017
5:30 pm in Cater-Mattil 124

2. Have at least a 2.5 overall GPR at Texas A&M for Nutrition or a 2.25 overall GPR at Texas A&M for Food Science. (GPR requirements are non-negotiable)

3. Have successfully completed (Grade of “C” or better) Chem 101/111 and 102/112 (preferred to have BIOL 111 and both core math courses successfully completed, also)

4. Must have completed at least 12 hours at Texas A&M to be considered for change of major

5. Generally students with 70 or more semester credit hours will not be allowed to change majors into the Department of Nutrition and Food Science.

*All students wishing to apply for double major or double degree must have a 3.0 overall GPR at Texas A&M University in addition to the above mentioned criteria.
